This is not how your story ends-Restorative-devotional

RESTORATIVE DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY 22 JULY 2025

This Is Not How Your Story Ends

SCRIPTURE:

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
— Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

The interpretation of this verse is simple...: "there is THIS ONE THING I am sure of, without an iota of doubt."

And it is THIS...... The God that started this good work in you, will NOT abandon the project."

Have you noticed that "You are a work in progress?"

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:

You are reading this for a reason. Not everyone made it this far... but you did.

Maybe not where you thought you would be.
Maybe not with the support you expected.
But you are still here.
Still standing. Still breathing.

Stop confusing the middle with the end
Don’t confuse the silence with absence

The chapters you are struggling through now will one day be someone else’s survival guide.... just because you kept going.

Your Mind may be telling you to see this phase of your life, as the end, but Your Maker will surely consider it as an interlude.

Heaven has not logged you out.

Earth has loads of storage space for your impact.

The main, and most significant reason that you are still here, is that God has not finished with you yet.

This is not where the story ends.

You are not overlooked. You are not out of time. You are not disqualified.

Your story.... as bruised and as damaged as it may feel... IS NOT OVER.

And when God is the Author, even the tattered pages can still carry divine glory.

My friend, God is in THIS story!
Hold on tight.

TONIGHT'S RESTORATIVE THOUGHT:

The page you're on is not the whole book.
Don’t hand the pen over to fear, to disappointment, or to regret.

Let the Author finish your story.

If you’ve ever thought it was too late to start over, let me remind you that if a 64 year old widow can do it, you have no excuse.

Now, you are committed!
Somehow or other, you will be reminded of today. Trust me.
Heaven has made note of it.

Today is A Seed -Brand-New-Day

“Today Is A Seed”
BRAND NEW DAY
Monday, 21 July 2025.

My Dear Friend,

It’s a brand new day... and that means new soil.

Yesterday, I spent quality time with one of my wonderful friends, Pamela, in her home-grown vegetable garden! Lordy, Lordy, Lordy! Every space of that backyard was one vegetable or the other. Pamela's Home Garden has energised my own age-long vision and I must (must) work to achieve it.

Pamela had warned me, "come in your jeans or shorts, not fancy dress. We will be wet and dirty!" And I drove 50 minutes each, in both directions to witness a garden filled with almost every kind of insecticide-free edible green vegetable, including Kale (one of my favourites.) I even got a "takeaway" package. Who doesn't love takeaways?

I got home super tired from just watering a few rows of greens, (and, of course) getting hit with polen and hay fever, but it was worth the time, energy, and company. I'll gladly do it again! Pamela's Home Garden looks like a Ministry in it's own right.

Pam's Veg Garden is impressive, for want of a better word. One thing I learnt is simple. What you plant, grows! But you must be absolutely intentional, devoted and focused! I will talk about that garden in my journal very soon.

Every little step you take today is planting something for your tomorrow.

You may not see the full bloom today, but what you plant in thoughts, actions, words, and effort will grow.

Everything GROWS!!! Everything. Even laziness has its fruits. It bears nothing as fruits. If you plant nothing, you will absolutely πŸ’―% reap nothing. Its as simple as ABC.

It’s easy to dismiss the small stuff: that phone call you make today, the one email you finally sent, or the decision to rest instead of rushing around like a headless chicken. But you ignored...

🌱 TODAY IS A SEED.
Every seed contains potential.
It carries Purpose.
Is entrenched in Power.

Every Seed grows..
But ONLY YOU can choose what kind of seed to plant.

✅️ Sow kindness, and you will reap connection.
✅️ Sow courage, and you will reap strength.
✅️ Sow discipline, and you will reap results.

Even those annoying delays, unexpected detours, and painful disappointments are often just deep planting seasons... Yes!!
Find some use for your pain. Dont waste your tears on regret.

πŸ“Œ  REMEMBER THIS:
God doesn’t waste your waiting. He waters your willingness.

So, dearly beloved. Whatever you do today.... do it with the future in mind.
Let it be a seed.
Let it be intentional.
Let it grow.

Now. I URGE YOU...
LEAVE YOUR COMMENT ON THIS POST.
AND SHARE MY MESSAGES.
Encourage everyone you know to take ACTION..
I am encouraged too by your FEEDBACKS.. ✍️πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎ

Action is what brings Results.

YES... SEND ME YOUR STORIES.
I WILL PUT THEM IN WORDS FOR YOU. (My late father kept all my "Dear Dad" letters). I love writing ✍️

Let's grow together in action! ❤️

From my heart to yours!

You Survived What Others Didn’t-Restorative-Devotional

You Survived What Others Didn’t
Restorative Devotional
Theme: Picking Up the Broken Pieces
Scripture: Psalm 124:2-3 (NIV)

"If the Lord had not been on our side... they would have swallowed us alive..."

Some moments in life that try to swallow us whole.
Moments that break others beyond repair. Those situations we see, that silence even the strongest voices.

But you? Yes, you!! You are still standing.

It's not because it wasn’t hard.
No! Not because things were easier for you.
But because grace held you, even when you couldn’t hold yourself.

The truth is, we rarely give ourselves enough credit for surviving what would have taken someone else out.

That heartbreak...
That betrayal....
That lonely season no one knew about....

You carried it all... and you came out with your soul still intact.

That’s not a small breakthrough!!

That is the evidence you need right there.
* Of God's presence.
* Of your resilience.
* Of a future still waiting to unfold.

Today, we won't pretend it didn’t hurt.
Today is about honouring the fact that you survived.

There is purpose in your survival...

And... there's healing in remembering that God didn’t let the fire consume you.
When you know it couod easier have.

*****************

πŸ”‘ Pause & Reflect:
* What have you come through that once looked impossible?
* Write it down. Say thank you to God.

This is your testimony in the making, right there...

*****************

πŸ•Š️ Restorative Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for all those moments that You carried me, even when I didn’t realize it.
Remind me daily, O Lord, that survival is a testimony.
Because our Times are in Your hands.

Help me to count my days on earth.
So that I can understand Your wisdom.

And help me to walk in the quiet strength of a survivor healed by Your loving grace.
Amen.

*****************

Let me just remind us all, that....

🌱 Restoration takes time, but so does greatness. And God is not done with you yet.

Divine Repositioning - Restorative Devotional

"DIVINE REPOSITIONING"
Daily Restorative Devotional
Thursday, 17 July 2025

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
~ Romans 8:28

There are moments in life when it feels like everything is falling apart.
But what if, in God’s eyes, everything is actually falling into place?

Sometimes the delay, the detour, the unexpected exit from a place you thought was home… is not a punishment, but a repositioning.

πŸ’ƒπŸΎ Like Ruth gleaning in the fields of Boaz..... she didn’t realize that her relocation was a divine setup for restoration.

πŸ’ƒπŸΎ Like Joseph, whose betrayal and imprisonment were really just a path to the palace.

πŸ’ƒπŸΎ Like Esther, placed in a foreign palace “for such a time as this.”

Friend, when things don’t go as planned, don’t panic.

The job loss, the relationship end, the relocation, the silence.... may just be God simply redirecting your steps.

Divine repositioning often feels uncomfortable.

It strips away the familiar, stretches our faith, and challenges our pride.
But on the other side, it births influence, healing, impact, and purpose.

Today, please, pause and reflect on this:

❓️ What is God removing you from so He can lead you to better?

❓️ What looks like rejection, but may really be redirection?

❓️ Are you flexible enough to trust His higher view?

When God repositions you, He is not just changing your location!!
He is changing your destiny.

Remember this:
The caterpillar eventually becomes a beautiful butterfly.... in God's TIME.

Let Go!
And Let Him complete what He started.

Be Still.

*******************

πŸ™πŸΎ Restorative Prayer:

Lord, help me to surrender to your divine repositioning. Even when I don’t understand the shift, let me trust that You are working all things for my good. Align me with your purpose. I choose to move forward in faith, not fear. Amen.

*******************

✍️ Restorative Reflection:

Where in your life do you sense a shift happening?
What could God be setting you up for?

God is never late.
Trust. Obey. Stay Still.

The Laughter That Didn't Fool God - RESET TABLE

Welcome to THE RESET TABLE

"The Laughter That Didn’t Fool God"

Wednesday, 16 July 2025

Dear Friends,

Welcome to this week’s The Reset Table, your mid-week space for sacred pause, soul healing, and emotional clarity.

In a world that rushes us through pain and pushes us toward performance, this is your gentle invitation to breathe, reflect, and remember that you matter, and your healing matters too.

We sometimes laugh…
Not because things are funny.
But because they’re tiring.
* Too long. Too hard. Too late.

So we smile. Nod. We say “It is fine.”
We look up. And say "It is well."
But the truth? We know!!
It is not fine. All is not well.
And God knows it too....

So, the story goes, that Sarah laughed too......
It was not out of joy...
It was disbelief.

She had waited so long for the promise.
Waited many years for a breakthrough.
So, her laughter was her defense.

> “After I am worn out… will I now have this pleasure?” (Genesis 18:12)

She was not mocking.
She was masking.
Masking her pain.
Her Disappointment.
Her "Hopelessness."

But here is the power of that moment:

God heard her laughter.
And He didn’t rebuke her.
He reaffirmed the promise.

πŸ“Œ My dear friend, maybe you have laughed like that too.
That empty kind of laugh that hides a thousand letdowns.

But God sees beyond your smile.
He hears the ache behind your laughter.

And He still asks you, right now....

> “Is anything too hard for Me?”

He is not fooled by your brave face!!
No!!

And He is not offended by your tired hope.

In fact, He’s preparing your fulfilment in those same places you gave up on it.
********************

πŸ“Œ THIS MIDWEEK RESET:

You don’t need to pretend with God.
He welcomes your honesty.

* Even when your belief sounds like sarcasm.
* Even when your dreams feel too ridiculous to hope for again.

You may have laughed off some promises.
But God didn’t laugh about them.
He remembered.
********************

MID-WEEK SOUL REFLECTION:

> What if your laughter was actually a whisper for help?

Maybe the answer is closer than you think.
********************

πŸ’ƒπŸΎMID-WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

"God is not offended by my weariness.
He remembers my waiting, and
He honors my hope....
even when I laugh to protect myself.”

********************

πŸ’₯ MID-WEEK QUOTE:

> “God doesn’t just see your tears. He understands the pain behind your laughter too.”
~ Dr. Yinka Dixon, PhD (Hon.)
