Grace in the Middle of the Storm

NEW BEGINNINGS RESTORATIVE DEVOTIONAL

Theme: Walking Through Storms

Grace in the Middle of the Storm

Dear friend,

We are reminded in Scripture that, even in the fiercest of storms, we are not alone.

Peace is not the absence of storms.. It is the presence of God inside those storms.

👉 Whatever storm you may be facing today, remember: storms never last forever, no matter how terrible they seem in the moment.

A BRAND NEW DAY

Thursday, 10 July 2025

“Don’t measure your day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.”

~ Robert Louis Stevenson

You may not see the full results yet, but progress is happening.

Whether it's a phone call made, a post shared, a kind reply, or even just writing your goals down… you’re planting seeds.

Growth is rarely instant. But it is certain.

Remember, every big win starts with one bold act of obedience or courage.

📌 TODAY’S ACTION:
Do one thing today that aligns with the bigger vision.
Just one. But do it excellently.

“Success is not about the spotlight. It’s about the small steps no one sees that move you forward.”
~ Dr. Yinka Dixon

Prevent Heart Attack By Doing This At Night

BRUSHING YOUR TEETH AT NIGHT CAN KEEP YOU HEALTHIER.

Can not brushing your teeth at night cause heart attacks?
Is it possible to get a heart attack from not brushing teeth at night?

Not directly, but yes. It can increase your risk over time.  Here’s why:

When you don’t brush your teeth, especially at night, germs (bacteria) build up in your mouth. These germs build up and can cause gum disease.

Now here’s the scary part - those same germs can enter your bloodstream, travel through your body, and cause inflammation in your heart and blood vessels.

So, if you often ignore brushing, especially before bed at night, it could lead to serious health problems, including heart attacks.

That’s why dentists and doctors say: Healthy mouth = Healthy heart.
------------------------------
What is Atherosclerosis?

Imagine your blood vessels (the tubes that carry blood around your body) are like water pipes in your house.

Now, imagine if someone poured greasy gunk (like butter, fat, and tiny bits of junk) into those pipes every day.

Over time, that gunk starts to stick to the inside of the pipes. The hole then gets smaller and smaller, and water can’t flow properly.

That’s what happens in your body.
The gunk is called plaque, and it builds up in your blood vessels. This is called atherosclerosis.

* If too much plaque builds up:
* Blood can’t get through easily.
* Your heart has to work harder.

Sometimes, the plaque can even block the blood completely or burst, which causes a heart attack.

So, to keep your "blood pipes" clean, it's important to eat well, exercise, and even brush your teeth, because germs can make those pipes worse too!
